Cool, now post about how great those are, instead of being cringe

I don't personally play DnD but you're being no different than Reddit sniffing their own farts about how superior their preferred game is and how bad popular game is

If anything, I want people to make their own games. I want them to experience it. I want them to play games that don’t even feel anything like D&D, because D&D is only one of an infinite possible games

If you legitimately want this to happen, you're not going to do this by pointing at people having a fun time and incoherently screaming about funko pops, you're going to do it by saying X game is cool and it differs from D&D with how its mechanics naturally allow X things to happen, or how you only have to read a few pages instead of multiple books, etc

It legit makes me sad that this Gamer Culture company gets the crazy majority mindshare of the hobby, even in a space that tends towards anti-capitalism

        ???

Half the posts here are from different systems, out of the four pinned posts, one of them is D&D 3.5e and the rest of them are indie RPGs far removed from D&D

It’s about it being a dead-end that I think stifles creativity and encourages a type of gaming that is like one big meme

and finally again because I want to reiterate this, if you go to /c/technology you'll see a lot of people recommending Linux, and instead of screaming at people for using Windows, they will talk about how Linux could be a good alternative for people, and go over people's doubts about switching to another OS. Because this is how you legitimately organize and get people to try new things, not by saying how the fun game they play is funko pop meme libshit capeshit buzzword or whatever
