    Do Spanish speakers say “hacer un <algo>” as a reference to doing something like something or someone else?

    This is one of those things I would have felt like i was be being too literal in translating on lol

      I've heard it and said it before. don't know how common it is or whether it's a regional thing. since it's theoretically borrowed from English slang, I wouldn't be surprised if it's more common in Mexican Spanish.
