I knew "straight" men who would start to hit on me after a few beers once they found out I was bi. The whole dog and ponyshow is a bunch of performative bullshit. After that happened more than once I started to realize how many dudes weren't really "in the closet" but the gender-as-a-spectrum argument started to hold a lot more water.
