I was wondering if there was a coating I could spray on it to seal in the fiberglass. Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem?

It's fiberglass from the ladder itself or it's from something else and just stuck to the ladder? If the fiberglass from the ladder itself is flaking you could probably just use two part epoxy to seal and coat it.

I'm honestly not sure, I just made a guess based on the fact that I bought it from a place that does insulation. Either way, it seems like your suggestion would work

If it's possibly just loose insulation that got stuck to it I would be tempted to put on a tyvek suit and respirator and just lightly sand that shit off and vacuum it up

I considered it. I left it out all winter long in the Michigan weather and it didn't seem to make a difference. I'm also getting to the point where I might just give it away and let the next person know why.

It really goes against my inner DIY/packrat though
