Other than going single stick (if that's even an option with your setup) - maybe you can salvage some ram from friends or family or even some e-waste/recycling dumpster? I don't know your situation but there's bound to be some ddr3 around somewhere in unused or defunct machines. It's far from ideal of course but it could keep the rig running until you upgrade
