Let me know if there are any more suggestions. Regarding certain role changes, please suggest a way to make the changes accessible. I'm not going to add any more walls of text, so the changes should be user friendly and understandable without the text.

The US side shows how each of the various heads got their position (all by presidential appointment), but the DPRK side doesn't. Also it doesn't say who the guy pictured for "(by Supreme People's Assembly Presidential Appointment)" is and how he got his position.

And for "fairness", it should probably mention that those presidential appointments require approval from the Senate (except the DNC Chair).

Pretending that Kim Jung-Un isn't the head of state is just silly. There's no "premier" but Kim is "President of the State Affairs" which is effectively head of state.

I also wonder who is really calling foreign policy shots in the DPRK, although you could ask the same question of the U.S. Highlights the issue with simply naming who's in a post that nominally has that role.

Kim is probably heavily involved in that since he has no lobbyists afaik.

I took my mother out for lunch today and showed this to her, and her response was basically:

    jesse-wtf

It's absolutely inscrutable to people that aren't terminally online. So it's a perfect piece of leftist media.

    not nearly wordy enough

i'd like to squeeze in a label of the guy who appointed Kim head of the military, and briefly expand on highest legislative powers, even if only to state explicitly that if a "bill" passes "congress" that's it you're done.

uncritical support for the DPRK in its heroic struggle to liberate occupied Korea from the genocidal American empire

I don't think the US secretary of the interior and the Korean minister of agriculture are the closest matches for eachother you could find. I am pretty sure Yankeeland has a secretary of agriculture and Korea has a minister of the interior.

    A few pointers

    -Increase the font for readability

-Think about a dark background color with white text for a dark mode

-Think about using another font, any sans serif on Google fonts is probably fine

It should show who appoints NK ministers.

Should also clarify that Kim Yong Nam is the SPA President

also explain what single vote system is because libs will literally think it means Kim Jong Un casts a single vote for everything.

Did you mean this about a previous version, or is there a way to make it more clear in this version?

For the current version as of this new comment. For example who appoints Choe Sun-Hui? I assume that either the party or the SPA appoints her but without clarifying it liberals will just assume that Kim Jong Un appoints her like Biden. You really have to spell things out here.

Also make the appointed by Biden more prominent so it takes up more of the screen. That way it has the same effect as the old version that used to get passed around.

Legislative heads are the speaker of the house and the senate majority leader. Kamala’s power is just to cast tie breaker votes in the senate.

While I agree that Biden effectively has highest legislative powers, it is not because of the veto power (which is subject to override by congress anyway). It is because he has de facto control over the administrative agencies, which is where most of our legislation really happens, and because he has the power to write executive orders.

How should I capture this in the infographic?

Stickying this was a good idea, I very quickly saw it this morning before leaving for work and assumed it was a shitpost (never zoomed in), without noticing the comm.

Thanks both to the mods and to the author.

I can tell you the immediate response from anyone in the US upon looking at this: "Yeah but Kim Jong Un can kill anyone he doesn't like so it doesn't matter"
