    I keep hearing about this but what's the evidence? seems like a weird claim (and high number), very sceptical

      Probably a phone bank survey + generalizing numbers. It's not unbelievable considering most contemporary descriptions of east german women always mentioned feminism and confidence that intimidated west german men.
