Bought off ebay awhile ago, dunno if my upload will show the problem or be still, but the light is pulsating and not really a comforting look. I'm using a power converter so that it can work here in the states. If there's some fix I can manage to get it back to normal, well I'd just love that. I know fuck all about electronics if that's not obvious, so I can provide follow-up info and pics if necessary.

It does want 220v 50hz, I'm using a converter though, which is 120v 60hz to 230v 60hz. I'm guessing that's the issue now, yeah? It does keep time and has a battery compartment

Yeah I remember trying to run it off a battery when I first got it, but like you said it didn't power the display. Might take it down to the local hardware store and see if they have anything that could work. But I guess it's just gonna be difficult finding a work around, but the thing is it did work properly for a bit

May well be, idk jack about swapping a capacitor in a soviet era clock, but if I can find something suitable I'll give it a try. Nothing that looks burnt out to my eyes though. Might be making a new post showing the circuit board and getting ideas, now that it's become a little project I might as well learn something about electronics.
