Entrance to the stockade (prison) at Fort Dix in Wrightstown, New Jersey. Originally built to house up to 350 prisoners, by 1969 it was filled to overflowing, with over 800. On June 5, 1969, over 200 prisoners rebelled. Most had been jailed for going AWOL (Absent Without Leave).
Thirty-eight antiwar soldiers were charged with leading the rebellion and faced 40-year Federal prison terms. Four months later, more than 5,000 antiwar protestors marched onto the base in support of the Fort Dix 38. The next morning, 300 prisoners were released. Soon after, the Army dropped charges against the 38.

Christian Evangelicals have a similar teaching. The idea is that Christ died for our sins, which doesn't mean your free from the law or free to sin. No, instead it means that you are free FROM sin, which means you have to do everything God says. If you don't, you aren't free.
Free to follow all the rules and maybe get into heaven, instead of just being consigned to hell because of original sin
