i collect rare books and i bought these with the intention of learning italian to translate them. but that was in december and i haven't even started. the fact that, afaik, virtually none of his writings are available in english makes me super interested. they lied to us about the Kims, they lied to us about Stalin, they lied to us about Mao, they lied to us about Hoxha, they lied to us about Castro.... i mean etc etc etc. i've heard a lot of hearsay. one popular rumor i've seen spread is that he was illiterate????
good to keep an open mind. it's impossible to know what we are missing out on if we don't go directly to the source
I am willing to approach Ceaucescu with an open mind. I admit I know very little about him but I have the impression he was... not great.
