The green screen was a good call, as was offering updates on the legal fund via GoFundMe. It requires that the people who would inevitably be stalking her for updates will now have to pay her at least once. I take it she wasn’t particularly privacy obsessed before and this is not an enviable way to be suddenly thrown into the endless pit that is privacy and security culture/practice. If I could, I would recommend her The Privacy And Security Podcast, which has a lot of episodes on securing legal information, basic physical home security, and managing to live without your address being listed publically.

When hasan briefly acknowledged this all he had to say was basically along the lines of "she shouldn't have said anything about it because that's giving them what they want" You see this everywhere including in "leftist" communities that trans people bare some responsibility for being attacked because they shouldn't engage and highlight the abuse they receive because... that's what internet trolls want? It's like terminally online teenagers who can't comprehend anything outside of the context of internet slap fight wars from the days of encyclopedia dramatica, and obviously just an excuse to victim blame trans people
