My man just styling on europe:

America’s allies in Europe are desperate for alternative supplies of fuel amid the Ukraine war, and U.S. producers are happy to provide what they can. So wouldn’t you know the Biden Administration now wants to limit fuel exports.

If europe has to starve so america has its treats, that’s a deal that america is always willing to make.

And it's something that Europe should know by heart at this point. Why the fuck would you ever trust the americans to suffer any kind of societal deprevation to help you? Americans would rather die than be told no, as evident by the genocidal handling of COVID.

Why anyone outside of the US likes or admires the US, it's government, it's culture, or it's people is beyond me. Cringe shit.

A non-insignificant amount of brainworms is required. Unfortunately our libs here in Denmark sort of became America-philes over the past year, and if my PMC relatives are any indication, they think that having a subscription to the New York Times makes them the epitome of enlightenment thought. Haven't spoken to those relatives in almost two years, but I'm kind of considering just printing a bunch of Ross Douthats most unhinged Op-eds and asking if this is something they condone. However, since I don't want to actively alienate them yet, im probably just going to ask a few innocent questions.

For Europeans who have this attitude, are they just like, the most basic people ever? Like even if the US wasn't actively evil (death to America, by the way)... liking American shit just seems, well I don't know what the right word is other than maybe "basic". Like the people who watch a lot of reality TV, only listen to the most broadly popular music, probably don't read books but if they do it's just the most popular fiction novels. Not that any of that is bad per se, just to me it seems like the kind of person who uncritically absorbs what is pushed out by media and society.

Long term thinking was never a strong suit of ours, but this is fucking insane, even for neolibs. So many people are going to suffer needlesly because of this, and there is nothing to fucking help it. Also seems like our landlord is trying to force us out of the house, especially with how much rent is going to increase after new years. Fuck, this shit is bleak.

The fact that Europe has ever trusted America, at all, is proof they are not fit to govern themselves. The fact that they won't tell Yanks to get the fuck out, even as they are literally going to freeze to death is just sad. How did these people oppress the entire planet at one time?

They had their chance to avoid this and build gas terminals so we could ship them ours. We burn off so much natural gas as a waste product. But no, they laughed in our faces and thought it was a trick to get them to pay for our gas, not that they couldn't afford it what with the massive trade surpluses they run with us. They said they have cheap Russian gas and that we could go fuck ourselves.

Hey, look at the bright side - Europe is heading for a shivering winter in the dark, but at least they have their solar and wind power to carry them through. And if that's not enough, they can hook up their own sense of self-satisfaction to generators and use that to heat their homes.

If Europe had any materialists left, they would understand that they should do like Turkey and play the Americans off of the Russians. At the very least, we should have not put all our eggs in the American basket after they led us into the hilarious quagmire of Iraq and Afghanistan, were we seemingly threw away billions upon billions just so the Murder Cowboy could feel something.

Seeing this shit almost makes me want to run for office, but I don't think I'd be able to resist the urge to do adventurism the first time I'm face to face with one of the ghouls.

play the Americans off of the Russians

They WERE doing that. Fuck you and your gas USA, we're going to keep running record surpluses and refuse to bring them down to a fair level, we're going to keep importing Russian gas forever. Why do you think the USA provoked Russia into invading Ukraine? Nordstream 2 was just about to be connected. Now it's a dead letter.

None of those things required Europe to sanction Russia. Europe doesn’t sanction literally any country the Americans don’t like (albeit, it’s pretty fucking close), so there was literally no need for those sanctions. You could have opened Nordstream 2, and kept importing Russian energy and let the Americans collapse their own shit under the strain of financialization.

You kidding me? Europe runs a massive trade surplus with America. They can easily afford it. They just don't want to.

The goal of trade is to trade an equal amount of goods such that both parties benefit. This obviously isn't happening in Europe, they make money hand over fist with America. This was a golden opportunity to set things to rights and balance things out.

The tankers should have set sail years ago. That opportunity wasn't just squandered, it was thrown away with laughter and general approval of all of Europe in rejecting the American plan. That ship has sailed, and now Europe is going to have a very cold and dark winter.

You realize that Europe trades these dollars for anything that they would want to buy? For example, a lavish welfare state? And then has the nerve - the fucking nerve - to shit on America because we don't have one. Yeah maybe if we profited $60 billion a year from trade with Europe we could afford to have some nice things. But no, it's the other way around; Europe gets the massive cash infusion and Americans get stuck with the bill.

You say it's not a problem? OK, let's switch: America sells Europe the goods and gets paid $60 billion a year. Oh, suddenly it doesn't sound like such a good idea, eh? Europe can't afford that!

I hope China is just waiting until winter to punish Germany and Lithuania for sending their legislators to visit Taiwan.

Let's see how smug the Europeans can be when they have no blankets to go with their no heating.
