Every once in a while I like to take a road trip to remind me how trash most of the US is. I've got family owned Mexican/Thai/Sushi/Puerto Rican and Cuban restaurants plus a coffee shop less than a five minute walk from me and twice as many local places a ten minute walk in the other direction, plus a comic shop and a locally owned movie theater. I feel sorry for my fellow hexbears that have to experience this.
