I remember finding it interesting, but it's essentially a book report of "Godfather of the Kremlin: The Decline of Russia in the Age of Gangster Capitalism" by Paul Klebnikov, which as I understand it talks about the rise of criminality in Russia in the 90's, and how it was preceded by a black market that existed in the 80's soviet union which got turbocharged when the USSR started to use policy in order to curb alcoholism.
