    In bad country, oligarch controlled media lies about protests against state violence, instead misrepresentating it as a pro-Regime demonstration. This, alongside a coercive nationwide period of mourning propogated by state propaganda, creates the illusion of a public unified behind the empire and its unelected monarch and prime minister. Experts say this facade is crucial to the government's attempts to remain in power — the island nation has been wracked with economic crises and political instability owing to contradictory policy in support for foreign wars as well as withdrawn from IGOs.

      Remember when they did this with Cuba like 8 months ago? They showed footage of people protesting with July 26th flags and called the marches "anti-government" because the actual anti-government protests were like 25-30 people and looked sad compared to the counter protest so they just lied.

        They literally showed a demonstration with Díaz-Canel at the helm and called it an anti-government demonstration.
