Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)
Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

Well of course those guys probably have a better grip on the situation than I do, but the train line is clearly to the left of the vehicle lanes in this video, meaning the truck in question would have needed to depart from the Russian mainland in order to carry out this attack. Additionally, this is the side of the bridge facing north, and appears to be just before the last span before reaching Crimea, so as close to Ukraine’s potential operating range as possible.
In regards to what may have resulted in the explosion otherwise, I’m not quite sure. Definitely still a possibility of it being a suicide attack though
