I'm anti-nostalgic about the free space of this concept if it was a bingo card: "ironic" fascism. It's finally fallen out of fashion and fascists are either quiet about the label or aren't, but I almost never see fascists pretend it's just "ironic" to "get a rise out of people" anymore.

Come to think of it, the use of "irony" to mask horrible attitudes, beliefs, and behavior is called out far more often than not lately and I'm glad for it. Irony poisoning is a fuck.
