I don’t want to talk to a therapist. I don’t want to talk to my parents. I don’t want to talk to my friends. They’d either laugh at me, turn me in to the DHS, or do both. I’m very afraid because my mental state is worsening and I’ve had another panic attack today

    I know this is unsolicited advice, but I wanted to share something that has helped my anxiety. I was finding myself feeling really anxious and upset throughout the day over the state of US politics, police violence, rampant and unapologetic racism, climate change, etc. in the news. I still spend lots of time on reddit so I finally unsubscribed from all the shitty mainstream news and politics subs and honestly I feel so much more relaxed. Of course we often feel it's important to be informed but reading all that stuff was having a seriously poor effect on my mental health and I know I can contribute more to the world when my mental health is good. I still have lots of other anxiety triggers obviously but I have been noticeably less stressed since. Just thought I'd throw this out there in case it helps. I hope things improve for you comrade.
