edit: official release blog is now up, too https://godotengine.org/article/godot-4-0-sets-sail/
Wow, I thought this would have another few release candidates for sure.
Can't wait for godot-voxel to stabilize onto the new version.
I've been thinking about dabbling with Godot once it hit 4.0 (so that I don't waste time with 3.x features that get revised in 4). I don't actually care for game dev but I think it would be more fun than actually playing games.
Either way, it's the rendering tech that I'm actually interested in.
Great work from the contributors. The war against software capitalism continues.
This has been so many years away, I hope it rocks as hard as we always dreamed.
You'd be surprised how much godot is used in the business app development side for its nice UI solutions
I really need to contribute to an open-source project and this seems like a great project. Hexbear probably too.
I assume yes to both but I am only looking into it for the first time as of 15 minutes ago
Godot is fantastic. I switched to it from Unity a few years ago and I've never looked back. Haven't made 3D games in it, but I can attest that it's really good for 2D projects.
