My assumption is that larger international chains are doing more to erode working conditions worldwide and the environment due to the scale they operate on. And would be the ones that cause the most damage.

any large capitalist enterprise would do/does all that shit. the homophobia out of a chik fil a situation is over and above the crimes of the system.

ten companies 1/10th the size of mcdonalds aren't automatically better than mcdonalds
