I never heard of any calls for boycotts on lack of diversity for the Mario movie, just people were dunking on Pratt's interpretation of the charecter. If Nintendo made that much then end the indentured servatude of that hacker.

"Due to the lack of racial diversity"

TIL Keegan-Michael Key is white. Like don't get me wrong, there's alot of white people in this movie, but this just feels like such a weak position to try and get attention with.

I am boycotting this film until they release a cut where Mario is voiced by Samuel L Jackson.

I know John Leguizamo (the guy who played Luigi in 1993) said there should have been more Latino people in the movie, which is weird because the woman who played Peach has partial Argentinian ancestry and she does speak Spanish. There's also Fred Armisen in the cast, he was raised by a Venezuelan mother.

The only other calls for diversity in the movie are from how weird it is the two main characters are Chris Pratt and Charlie Day. It's not even an Italian thing, it's weird.
