Is this like when China exerted control over the Uyghurs by forcing them to partake in traditional Muslim ceremonies?

like when China exerted control over the Uyghurs by forcing allowing them to partake in traditional Muslim ceremonies?

No, that propaganda isn't as nuanced. Minority rights in China are conveniently ignored, try talking to a lib about it. Blank stares is all you get

One of my favorite things to hit libs with is that the "One Child Policy" never applied to ethnic minorities within China. Imagine the U.S. trying to institute a "One Child Policy" on white people, and then tell me that the CPC is a Han-supremist organization. Not that the Han still don't dominate national politics in China, but the organization is clearly willing to do things that are directly at the expense of the Han ethnicity.

The very same people critiquing one child policy will tell you that the world's problem is overpopulation. Curiously, they are mostly referring to people who are minorities in the imperial core :curious-marx:

Also, white supremacy is so deeply ingrained into western societies that people just can't fathom a ruling party that's not obsessed with racial superiority.

I've heard that it was all an elaborate ruse with Han Chinese people doing the ceremonies to mock them. Not from reliable sources but I have heard it
