Unfortunately, my current headphones is the last pair and they are probably going to die randomly any day. I have literally no idea how "in the know" people find good headphones these days, especially if you don't want earmuff headphones or apple earpod knock-offs. It looks like all companies are only making one of those instead of normal ones.
The amazon listing was 1984'd so you can only find it on ??? websites.
Note: this is mostly just a rant.
I'm just doing my own rant on using the simplest possible tech. Sometimes you gotta make compromises in the real world but I always put very high value on physical tech like wires and buttons, repair-ability, competitive interoperability, open source, basic ideally human readable file formats and protocols, offline capabilities and the ability to destroy it with an axe when things go wrong. Following these principles you can usually avoid the problem of needing $200 headphones for your device to work. I'm not calling you out, I learnt these lessons the hard way and now it is your turn.
I've never in my life paid more than $20 for headphones of any kind lol.
Yeah you can get solid earphones for $20. $100 headphones (from good brands) sound noticeably better than $20 headphones but if you spend anymore than that then you're paying for some audiophile woo or "capitalist innovation" features like the inability to work without an app or being dependent on a non-replaceable battery.
