Honest to god the left dismisses too much of the military as baby killers and doesn’t look at all at the mass amounts of impoverished people who look at it as a way out of misery. Which sure have your moral high ground about choosing not to take part in the blood machine but those are people who will be sympathetic to a left wing cause. My best friend from childhood grew up in abject poverty and college wasn’t a viable way to gain skills to get out of it but the army was. Hes an electrical engineer now. There’s thousands of not millions of americans that could be sympathetic to left wing politics in the military and I feel that the US left is shit in their analysis when it comes to the military. I mean fuck the Bolshevik revolution wouldn’t have happened without the military. Why do we ignore them now?
