tl;dr: Nintendo is pretty protective of their copyright, but they've got nothing on the American music industry.

    I've sometimes thought it was weird that artists regularly don't talk about extremely obvious musical influences on them - but apparently just saying that a song is inspired by someone else's music is enough to get sued for copyright infringement even though your song is 100% original, so of course everybody has to pretend that they came up with all their ideas on their own in the Most Rational Economic System.

    Speaking of which, this reminds me of Pinball Archives, that had gotten various big licenses, like Star Wars and Star Trek, out, but they still could not have few obscures 50's songs in their soundtrack, like "Get a Job", in the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" -table!

    Copyreich Gestapo fucks everything up, as always. It is interesting that even the first Mother, with its strip joints, was released officially. But then again, Mother 3 has some nasty transphobia (that some say was meant to be anti-transphobic).
