The Republicans are actually 2 seats STRONGER in the Senate now than when they pushed Kavanaugh through. Right now, it looks like Trump may lose the election in the Fall and that Republicans might lose the Senate along with the House

The most ghoulish thing I can think of is leave the seat vacant for the election to boost turnout. If they win, fine. They appoint. If they lose, they still ram it through in a lame duck.
