I find it kinda funny how most of the things I can remember on this iceberg are actually on the lower levels just because I've been overall relatively inactive (with a few bursts of activity) since the launch of this site. Was kinda surprised not to see anything on here about all of the discord drama that went on just before and during the launch of the site, but maybe that stuff is best left buried.

sometimes I bring this up, but a lot of stuff we talk about here comes from leftist twitter and youtube etc, rather than stuff we stumbled upon or embraced ourselves. Like the sicko face was popular on leftist Facebook and twitter before this site existed. Yellow Parenti shows up a lot in online leftist spaces too.
We're a lot more downstream from other platforms than most people here realize. It's possible Correia has browsed here, but it's a lot more likely both us and Correia were sharing the same meme around from somewhere else
