He was being judged for abuse of power during his presidential campaign by the Brazilian election court, the vote is 4-1 right now, 2 more judges left to go but it is already done, he can’t be a candidate in any election for 8 years, which is not enough punishment imo but it is a start
Honestly the best outcome, given how I don't expect him to be in tip-top shape in his 70s. He and his supporters already discredited themselves, whilst giving Lula an excuse to clean house (with some spots left).
Like this is a better result than i was thinking he would get (no punishment) but he really fucked with the justices too much, literally can’t blame anyone else for this,
