I mean this comic is completely accurate and shows the problem. Why are you courting someone who is already voting for you. There is a huge subset of the country that will literally no matter what. The Dems could spend time and effort taking actions that would secure new votes instead.

This is exactly my argument for why voting blue is not harm reduction. Until they move left to align more closely with our values, voting for them signals that they're doing what you want and that they should keep doing it.

So if you are a leftist and care about electoralism it's actually important that you don't vote. Make them come to us.
