Hiking with my partner and my kid, spotted this on a bench along the trail. Immediately grabbed the sharpest thing I could find and scraped that shit right off. Got poison ivy. Worth it. Didn't spot any khaki shorts or plastic shields though.

tecnu has saved me in the past. helps urushiol rash heal faster and if you apply early enough after contact, stops it from developing. kind of expensive (like a $30 bottle) but so worth it

Gojo works too. Or dish soap and a wash cloth. Oil takes ~30min to penetrate I think so if you can get it right away it will dramatically reduce symptoms

It’s basically like invisible axle grease so anything that works for that will work for poison Ivy. Tecnu is nice bc it has some oil based solvents
