    I haven't had that experience. But TBH despite my comments I carefully pick my managers when applying for jobs.

      Yeah, it is great when you have a good manager/client. It's just a nightmare if you don't...

      There were also other reasons I wanted to get out of IT.. it was definitely the right decision for me!

        It's great that it worked out for you :). I tend to jump around jobs so project work works well for me.
