Go to one of the coastal places and you should be ok. Honestly, as an American we need people who aren't reactionary turds so I welcome you. But for your material security it definitely is a risk. Canada is not a bad place TBH. Anything can happen--good or bad-- in the future and just keep an eye on current US politics.
