You'd think more than half a century full of precedents would have made Americans suspicious of any military involvement of their country but they just end up watching some revisionist pop history youtuber and do the same song and dance again.
The fact that they keep falling for this over and over is definitely the most hilarious part. Really shows that they're not capable of even an iota of critical thinking or self reflection.
It's maddening engaging with them online. It literally makes me feel like I'm talking to delusional people with the inability to even be aware of their own thoughts.
Reading the comments in that thread is like stepping into a bizarro universe. I wonder what the turning point will be when these people have to start reconciling the fantasy world they built up with the real one. This was hands down my fav comment from the thread
I think that's likely gonna be the narrative libs smoothly pivot towards ignoring everything they said for two years. Also, never mind that literally all of NATO is propping Ukraine up. It's just a small country resisting a much larger country all on its own. When Ukraine is finally destroyed that's actually a huge win.

I don't know understand what they call winning a war. War is politics by other means. 2 countries or more have soldiers fight to kill each other till one side concedes to the other. If one settles and concedes to the terms of the other country, that is defeat.
That's the reality, but western libs have become incredibly invested in the war emotionally over the past two years and internalized the idea that Ukraine is winning the war while Russia is falling apart. Having to admit that they were wrong is not a thread they want to pull on because that raises a lot of uncomfortable questions such as the fact that western media is heavily propagandized and that they themselves are gullible.
Well, they keep trying to imagine that Russia is deploying it's full military force against Ukraine, denying that it's a limited SMO. They use the deployment of aging equipment as evidence that Russia is using everything they have and running out instead of as evidence that Russia is still able to meet it's objectives with a limited use of its worst equipment.
Absolutely, the whole narrative is built on the idea that Russia is falling apart and can barely keep things together. People internalized it over the past two years, and just regurgitate these tropes now. What's striking to me is how fluidly they're able to abandon narratives that have run their course without any reflection.
First, Russian economy was supposed to collapse within weeks. Then Russia was supposed to run out of shell, missiles, and manpower so the military conflict was going to be over quickly. Obviously none of these things actually happened, yet nobody asked why all these projections were wrong and what the implications of that are.
We still see libs dismiss any articles admitting the reality as Russian propaganda, even when these articles come from rabidly pro Ukrainian mainstream media in the west.
The sheer capacity people have for denying reality is really incredible.

I honestly just assume most, or a food portion at least, are not even "real" people but wreckers, feds, etc. That are there for malicious purpose to cause strife. There were already some trickling in before the reddit drama but a massive influx out of nowhere would have been obvious. Then the reddit debacle went down and it gave them the perfect opportunity to flood in. A good number of the actual people have probably already gone back to reddit leaving a higher concentration of feds left over. At least that's MY theory.
