The Proles of the Round Table podcast did several episodes on Stalin. They also did an episode with another podcast about Stalin that is incredibly informative. They also interviewed Grover Furr who is an non-communist historian who has written several book debunking the western lies about Stalin. Dude went into the Soviet Archives expecting to verify all the claims and found out it was all bullshit. His books are a slog to read. He's writes dry and factual and his obsession with Stalin and fact checking people on it is very autistic in nature. The man is brilliant.

In addition to the other comments, The Deprogram sub on Reddit is fairly pro China now. It's been interesting watching its user base transition from baby socialists that are like "bu bu but what about China bad?" to full on CPC supporters.

And before GenZedong it was the old Chapo sub. Chapo took me from a radlib sucdem and turned me onto true socialism/communism. Reddit banning them pushed me to GenZedong which finished the job. The Lemmygrad migration just helped me polish some things off.

From what I understand they did this on some other platform year ago and still there no real work around. Twitch maybe? Idk. The developer of sponsor block straight up said there is nothing they can do about them and the various anti-ad communities on Reddit are pretty much confirming that there's no way to block them. They MAY figure something out eventually but this is going to really mess things up for a while.

It's going to only get worse and YouTube is experimenting with server side ads that can't be blocked because they are directly injected into the videos from the server side. As in put in as part of the video and the timing will be random. There's pretty much no way to counter it. If you tried to use a downloader program the video would probably download with the ads in it.

So basically, if there's anything on YouTube you have saved to a playlist and want to watch in the future without ads.... Download it now.

I have to roll my eyes ever time shit like this comes up. Even JT disagrees with the main branches stance and think they are kind of trash. His goal is to improve the organization from the inside. Going online and removed about the org isn't going to change it. Me and my friends have joined our own local branch. Some are "unofficial" because they don't care to pay dues to the main org because we all think it has generally trash stances on a lot of things, but we wouldn't have met any other communists in real life or gone out and done actual praxis by helping the community. Just because you are part of an org doesn't mean you agree with everything it says or does. As communists in the west we don't have a whole lot of options. We either make due with what we can and try and make it better or we can sit at home and attack actual people doing praxis solely because they do it through some org we don't like, like some fucking ultras or some shit.
