They don't necessarily have to be leftist or about leftist history, but preferably things without Western/Imperialist white-washing. I'm usually hesitant to go looking for history docs in the main stream (netflix, hulu, etc) since they're just propaganda half the time. I have a big interest in civilizations and sociology.       Fuck. I have no idea how I missed that. Even if we took the most literal definition of colonizing , I guess the Philippine's didn't exist?

      I'm torn on whether I should delete it because I want people to know this story. All the English documentaries on this war are so shitty but some of the propaganda is more subtly presented than others. Maybe such an absurdly , over the top claim like that is better than smoother presentations? I'll post a "better" one if I can find one or delete it if anyone thinks that's for the best

        I think it's a good documentary. The rest of the bit of it I watched was interesting. It isn't like it's an anti-socialist or colonialist documentary, despite them interviewing that one CIA guy.
