minus-squareDnb@lemmy.dbzer0.comhexbear3·4 months agoI had to read the sentence multiple times to see why it was removed, seems very odd. https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/grammar/singular-they Using "they" seems correct as gender didn't matter in the context, and it seems odd that you'd have to read someone profile before referring to their post. If that's a rule it should be required to be in the part of the display name. linkfedilink
