It's just Russian Government Funded English-language News. It's propaganda like anything else, CNN, PBS, or whatever. And they weren't really "shitting on the guy that got poisoned". They basically agreed that Navalny isn't a US puppet and doesn't want to be one even if the west is trying to use him as one.

A good rule of thumb is to be more critical of news/media about a publication's home country.
