There's a pretty big difference between "in a room by yourself with no work to do and no-one to bother you" in the "home alone" sense versus the "Guantanamo Bay white torture" sense, and oidashibeya certainly seem to be closer to the latter than the former.

You're also not allowed to entertain yourself in any way other than thinking... It's similar to solitary confinement.
