    Yeah, but they did basically channel a lot of energy and enthusiasm into a Democratic Party that was bound to shaft them in the form of Bernie support at the expense of actual left wing parties. The job since Nader in 2000 has been to keep all of the disaffected youth in the party until after the primaries and starve out all the third party candidates in the meantime. I remember they built up Kucinich immediately afterwards till the ultimate liberal sucker bait Obama came along. And after that came Bernie. The DSA really should be more honest about being a wing of the Democratic Party.
