They are usually correct about the climate science but like half the posters just have shit reactionary takes from it. Although even if we like enacted eco-socialism like today worldwide a good amount of us are still fucked.
I was on the collapse sub alot in 2016/17, and there was a lot of talk about how this sort of thing was speculated on but not observed yet.

Scientist played it very conservative to not scare people or seem like doomers. Some climatologists have expressed that this was a huge mistake.
