I am trying to learn about Rhodesia without the white ethnostate circlejerking. So far I have only found From the Barrel of a Gun: The United States and the War Against Zimbabwe, 1965-1980 by Gerald Horne. I have not read it yet. It seems like the majority of books on Rhodesia are lamenting how they were betrayed by the world and just trying to fight the black "communists" that were not satisfied being second class citizens.

Not Rhodesia but in the region and era: the almost forgotten Angolan Civil War the USA provoked is covered in detail in John Stockwells book In Search of Enemies.
