Ok ok so reading the tweet a few times, it may have been phrased as the following

Australia banned A: All Hentai, CP or not B: All adult goods AND C: All anime/manga with underaged characters. This is still a good thing, as anime is reactionary

      as anime is reactionary

How so? We've discussed how anime fans tend to skew reactionary for a number of reasons, but I don't see how you can paint the entire medium as being inherently bad.

Because most anime from Japan reflects Japanese culture, which is heavily reactionary. It’s the same way that American movies reflect American reactionary values. What anime is popular rn?

I see your point, though I wouldn't call all American cinema reactionary either. The big pictures from major studios? Absolutely. But it's not great analysis to overgeneralize entire mediums of art.

I don't watch much anime tbh so I'm not too in the know about what's popular right now.

The vast majority of American cinema is reactionary enough. If I handed you a bowl of fruit loops and only 4 of the pieces didn’t contain Ricin, you’d throw the entire bowl away. If something is too corrupt and too broken, you disown and work against it.

            Name a popular anime.
