A big problem is that it has a hang time of ~3 seconds, and I've got a fast computer and high speed internet. It's fundamentally unpleasant for me to use the dropdown menu.
That sounds like a bug that needs to be brought up in !feedback@hexbear.net so a dev actually sees it. Please mention it there so they can investigate it and ask any questions they might wanna ask. I definitely get absolutely no hang at all.

Really? That's.... Bizarre? I have zero hangtime whatsoever.
I get between a second to 5 or more seconds. It's super inconsistent.
