The enlightened centrists even in this thread as they step to the right in lockstep: "BuT eXtReMeS aRe BaD (only on the left though the other extremes are fine) "

In these kinds of spaces, there's a fundamental difference between the presentation of left-wing and right-wing extremism, even though both can be seen and felt.

Left-wing extremism is presented firsthand. "I think ". Both-extremes-bad centrists push back against that because they disagree.

Right-wing extremism is presented secondhand. "Look at this bozo who thinks ". Both-extremes-bad centrists often don't bother pushing back against that because the person who thinks it isn't even there to push back against. Or sometimes they do, but it gets lost in the noise of everyone else going "yeah that's bad," or you can't even tell it's a centrist saying it because you don't argue with them and find out.

If you drop a legitimate both-extremes-bad centrist on Truth Social, they're going to be pushing back against right-wing extremism there, but you won't know because you're not in that space.

Unironically, non-patronizingliy, kudos to you for responding maturely. A lot of people would just keep arguing.

Though I do feel a little weird about saying the mature thing to do is admitting I have a point.

I don't necessarily think you're 100% correct, but I don't feel like bickering about it either haha. Mostly I'd argue that it's all the same to most of them, I definitely see the CeNtRiStS going ham on left leaning third party info as previously described (look at what x did.)

I've never paid much mind to the ratios but now I'm curious and ima consider it next time I'm sitting around scrolling with my thumb up my ass.

In theory, I'm centrist. In subjective terms, the right thinks I'm a commie and the left would think I'm basically a Nazi. In practical terms, I think that the rights of individuals should be maximized, while the rights of groups (like companies, organizations, churches, etc) should be restricted, and I don't think that taxation is theft but I do think we should be getting a better return on our investment.

The thing is, I pretty much only hang out in leftish spaces because the things I disagree with the left on are also less important to me. It's easier to get along.

Oh, you're not willing to fully commit to my opinion? Enlightened centrists...
