The enraged hitler meme is practically dead now though, there's like one guy still making it and his brained has turned to mush, primarily making videos bitching about the ess jay doubleyous, and is lucky if any of his new videos garners over 7,000 views. Not saying memes don't matter, but I think something more insidious is going on here.
Yeah it did the same thing to me, but I think there's a solid difference between being desensitized to atrocities and being an actual nazi regurgitating white supremacist propaganda. Of course it's a stepping stone to that, but from what I remember most kids never moved past the edgy "dark comedy" phase. It seems less like that now.
