Forgiving $50k in student loans would be cool for those who are already in massive debt, but student loan forgiveness is using spit to clean out a wound and covering it with a piece of scotch tape. Millions of people take on student loans every year, and the cycle will continue. We need to make public colleges tuition free simultaneously with loan forgiveness, otherwise we’re not addressing the problem.
