Yeah, “full genocide” is likely a gross exaggeration of what’s actually happening, but I’m getting a bit tired of things like this being held up as stand-ins for any valid critique of the Chinese government on here. If there is any reasonable critique of the CCP happening on this site, I would love it if somebody could point me toward it, because everything I see these days gets immediately dismissed as “CIA shit.”

My impression is that you're allowed to criticize China here, you're just not allowed to circlejerk about how bad China is like we do with Amerikkka. The reason being, the Amerikkka circlejerk doesn't reinforce US propaganda because its diametrically opposed to American messaging and because people around here are more familiar with American politics. When we're talking about America's enemies, neither of those things are true, so we have to do more work to make sure we're not reinforcing CIA propaganda among one of the only factions of Western politics that is likely to give America's enemies a fair, material analysis.

When there's a full-scale, bad-faith anti-China campaign in the media, doing leftist critique in a public forum only serves to aid the campaign. It doesn't sound like "communism can be better than Chinese communism" but rather like "even communists hate China".

You're right that Chapo should be criticizing China - it's secluded enough to not add to the propaganda. But I'm betting people just aren't personally interested in China enough to get into it. You have to know a subject intimately if you want to comment intelligently, not just repeat rumors.
