I could buy the Ruger Precision on the center display rack ($1,199) and like 200 rounds of 5.56 NATO for that like what the hell

IT HAD A HIGHER PRICE TAG THAN THE FUCKING SVT-40 RIGHT NEXT TO IT

What the fuck is happening with the American gun market right now holy fucking SHIT

The gun library always has weird prices. I think they rely on folks who only shop at Cabelas to impulse buy used stock. They seem to manage to rotate through super corroded mausers for $400 each so a really mint sks for 1400 might sound tempting to someone with a cabelas credit card and no experience shopping around.

This might explain it. They're trying to give the impression of discounts for used stock, but I swear some of the prices in there are just bizarre. All they had were SxS and O/U shotguns, mostly for four digits, luxury shotgun brands for high three digits, and a bunch of bolt actions that were barely under MSRP. I'm sure, realistically, there are at least a few good deals in there, but I'm not so committed to a purchase at the moment to do that level of research for a gun I may not even shoot for many months until ammo prices come back down. Even .308 WIN (my current preferred caliber for a bolt action to get into long-range target shooting) runs a damn mint at the moment.

Great place to go and put my hands on a nice rifle, but I can't see myself ever ponying up the cash to them on the spot for anything.
