And koalas. Fucking bushfires last year then on top of that land developers got to kill a bunch and I'm pretty sure they never got properly punished for it.

            Hate this country sometimes.

Yeah I mean, if this were a house, it'd be pretty damn nice with a beautiful garden. But with an absolute dog shit landlord that barely fixes things two years too late, and some of your house mates are just phobic-af.

Also yeah our record for just wiping out endemic species if pretty much unbeaten.

I hate it because the wildlife and environment of Australia is so unique and precious. We have something so special here and seeing it being thrown away for blocks of identical rental complexes fucking sucks. Those assholes pretend to love the country while at the same time ripping up and selling anything that isn't bolted down.

I agree, honestly nothing beats being a be able to just piss off into complete isolation within an hour or two of driving from any major metro area.

But yeah, our great leaders have found it in their eternal wisdom to completely decimate the land via urban sprawl. If I remember correctly, at one point Perth had a faster rate of urban sprawl than Los Angeles. It's concerning that we may eventually start to cut further into the southwest's biodiversity hotspot as the cities down that way grow.
