    They're not ok to make, but on an individual level they are ok to take

          If something is for survival it's absurd to make a distinction between production and consumption.

            it's possible to make vaccines from something else than bits of animal corpses. If you can't influence the production of vaccines and you need the vaccine to survive, it's ok to take it

              But they use animal bits for a reason. It's not like the bio chemists just have an ancient grudge against hamsters. The existence of alternatives isn't enough justification for making something immoral. If it were it's make every driver morally culpable.
